One of the youngest regular army First Sergeant’s in 1943, C.P. Navarre. He took a reduction in rank to Pvt. to come to the 761st.

In 1997, Chief Warrant Officer Chistopher Paul Navarre, Sr (USA-Ret) received the Silver Star for actions in Task Force Rhine (Mar 45).
